C.R. Grigg

C.R. Grigg was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1940. He received an A.B. degree from Brown University in 1962 and an M.F.A. degree from Cornell University in 1965. He resides in Essex County, Massachusetts.

Statement

If a painting is successful, the result is surprising and rewarding in its unfamiliarity. One cannot will meaningful form into existence. Art can only occur as a result of a journey which is the process of working. As Lucian Freud said, it's about paint.
